fair sourcing
We've partnered with a family owned factory (shirts only) in Zhejiang province, China, directed by Ann, a mum. She works with her husband and goes home for lunch to see her child. If you visit the factory at mid-day, you'll find it almost empty: all the workers will be back home or out for lunch... The owner strongly supports family and flexibility and a clean working environment. We have visited the factory at least 8 times, and we will normally make at least 1 visit per year.
Our philosophy revolves around rules of trade that include no child labour, fair wages, safe working conditions and regular factory visits. Our factory complies with the world’s social and environmental ethos. This way you can be proud of your purchases, the quality and the ethics with which our shirts are made.
We learnt to make shirts in Italy and now we produce them in China in a "shirt-only" factory. This ensures highly skilled craftsmanship (our tailors know that shirt-making is different from general clothes making). Details don't get lost when you can focus on one art.
